FAQS

FAQS

I'm not sure what class I should pick?

If you're used to Vinyasa Flow, Ashtanga, Rocket or Power yoga classes - a Red, Yellow or Blue class will be familiar to you. Pink classes are restorative and calming and Orange classes are a mix of Vinyasa and Iyengar styles. Our classes are suitable for a variety of levels and teachers will always give options for those who wish to challenge themselves.

What should I bring?

We'd recommend wearing comfortable clothing that you're able to move around in. Mats and other yoga equipment are provided unless you'd prefer to bring your own.

Do you have showers and changing rooms?

We have a gender neutral changing area with private cubicles. Due to the size of the space, there are no showering facilities but we offer free cooling towels, toiletries and some amazing face/body spritzes to keep you feeling fresh!

What if I have injuries?

Just let the teacher know at the start of the class about any injuries you have so modifications can be made for you. Listen to your body and don't push yourself into any poses that hurt!

Are the lights dangerous?

Not at all. The lighting we use is safe, non-invasive and has many benefits!

Do you offer private classes?

Yes! Head to our Wellness Programme section to find out more about what we can offer you.

What if I'm late?

So that the class is not disturbed, we cannot admit anyone more than 10 minutes late into the class.

I'm pregnant. Can I practise yoga?

We advise you not to practise yoga in your first trimester whilst your body is adapting to change. From your second trimester onwards, we encourage you, with the approval of your medical practitioner, to attend our Pregnancy yoga classes. Intermediate and beyond students can attend general classes from the second trimester at the discretion of the teacher and with the prior approval of your medical practitioner.

I've never done yoga before - what class should I do?

Welcome! We would recommend doing a few basics Orange classes first so you get a good understanding of the foundations you need to progress on to a Yellow, Red or Blue class. We also offer 1 to 1 lessons if you'd like a more personalised introduction to yoga.

Can I hire the ChromaYoga studio?

We are open to hires granted that they don't class with any of our classes. Please email nina@chromayoga.co.uk with your proposal.
